Nicholas Gebelt, Esq.
As a Certified Bankruptcy Specialist (certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization), Mr. Nicholas Gebelt represents debtors—individuals, couples, and Businesses—and helps them succeed in an area fraught with traps for the uninitiated. In particular, since debtors are frequently taken advantage of by large creditors, he seeks to even the score. He enjoys giving his clients relief from their creditors, to enable them to live without fear of the telephone or bills in the mail.
Mr. Gebelt lectures on bankruptcy issues including the nuts and bolts of bankruptcy law, automatic stay litigation, bankruptcy and family law, and bankruptcy implications in negotiating real estate loan terms.
As a former math professor, Mr. Gebelt can clearly explain complex ideas to those without a technical background. Working as an educator, he developed a great deal of patience, so he’s willing to take the time necessary to ensure that his clients understand the relevant bankruptcy law and what he is doing for them.
Mr. Gebelt received his law degree from the University of Virginia, one of the top 10 in the nation. He has a Ph.D. from UCLA and has worked as a professor at several universities.
